Approaches

Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

A widely used therapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns that contribute to distressing emotions and behaviors. CBT is effective for depression, anxiety, phobias, and other mental health conditions.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

A structured therapy that helps people process and heal from traumatic experiences by using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements). This approach allows clients to reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel overwhelming.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

A mindfulness-based approach that helps clients accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than struggling against them. ACT focuses on psychological flexibility, helping individuals align their actions with their values to create a meaningful life, even in the presence of challenges.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy Informed (DBT)

An evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals manage intense emotions, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and build skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT is highly effective for anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation.

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)

A goal-oriented therapy that helps clients identify strengths, set realistic goals, and develop practical strategies to move forward. This approach is especially useful for clients seeking short-term, actionable solutions to life’s challenges.

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

A therapy that fosters self-compassion and emotional resilience, particularly for those who struggle with self-criticism, shame, and low self-esteem. CFT helps clients develop a kind and nurturing inner voice.
